David Grann is a #1 New York Times bestselling author and an award-winning staff writer at The New Yorker magazine. His newest book, A Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny, and Murder, publishes in 2023. His highly acclaimed book, Killers of the Flower Moon (2017) was a finalist for the 2017 National Book Award and was named as one of the best books of the year by Time, The Washington Post, LA Times, WSJ and Amazon. The book has been adapted into a highly anticipated film directed by Martin Scorcese and starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro. Grann’s first book, The Lost City of Z: A Tale of Deadly Obsession in the Amazon, was a #1 New York Times bestseller and chosen as one of the best books of 2009 by The New York Times, The Washington Post, and others. It was adapted into a film and released in 2017. David Grann is also the author of The White Darkness, which documents the quest to follow the footsteps of Ernest Shackleton, and traverse Antarctica alone. Apple TV+ is developing the book into a new limited series starring Tom Hiddleston and is expected to be released in 2023. Grann holds master’s degrees in int’l relations from the Fletcher School of Law at Tufts, and in creative writing from Boston University. He lives in New York with his wife and two children.
