Hampton Sides is an award-winning historian, journalist, and New York Times bestselling author celebrated for narrative nonfiction that brings history vividly to life. His work includes Ghost Soldiers (PEN USA Award), Blood and Thunder (Time’s 10 Best Books of 2006), Hellhound on His Trail, In the Kingdom of Ice, and On Desperate Ground (Washington Post Best Books of 2018). Known for combining meticulous research with cinematic storytelling, Sides explores epic moments of human courage and ambition.
