Health & Safety
As we return to our live Pen & Podium programs, the well-being of all our patrons is paramount. Protocols for attending in-person events will be developed in conjunction with the Newman Center for the Performing Arts health guidelines, and we appreciate your flexibility as these are updated over the course of the season.

COVID-19 Health and Safety Procedures
Enhanced COVID-19 protocols will help ensure every step is being made to keep the patrons, staff and artists healthy.

All patrons ages 12 and older must show proof of vaccination to enter the building. Proof may be a physical or photo of a vaccine card, or by using the MyColorado app. For those unvaccinated, proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance attended must be presented. 

All visitors to the Newman Center will be required to always wear a mask while in the venue, including during the performances except when actively eating or drinking.

Venue
Please plan to arrive early to help with the check-in process. The north and east entrance doors will open at 6:30 p.m. (the west doors will remain closed.) The house doors open at 7:00 p.m.  

Parking in the Newman Center garage for this event is $10. Space is limited. Directions to the Newman Center and parking are available here.

Concessions will be open.

At-Home Options
This season, we will be recording the live programs and will make them available for viewing for the week following the lecture. Subscribers who hold the account will automatically receive an email with the link at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday (the day following the live lecture.)

Parking

The Newman Center for the Performing Arts is located at the southwest corner of East Iliff Avenue & South University Boulevard; approximately 1 mile south of the University Boulevard exit off Interstate 25. Click here for google map.

The Newman Center parking garage is located 1 block south of the Newman Center (University & Wesley.) Unless otherwise noted, parking is $10. Upon payment, a parking attendant will provide you with a permit to display permit on your dashboard.

In the event the Newman Center parking garage reaches capacity you will be directed to a designated overflow lot. A parking attendant will be at the overflow lot to collect $10, and provide you with a permit, to display permit on your dashboard.

PLEASE NOTE: Parking on the University of Denver campus requires payment or a parking permit 24 hours a day.
